Old & New

Sometimes I have an idea that stays in my head or my sketchbook for a long long time before I actually feel inspired to make it. A year ago while I was making a corded beehive trivet, I thought that it would be neat to try to make one that resembled a bird's nest.

I thought about making it every few weeks but I was either too busy or uninspired to actually create that thing floating around in my head. Yesterday I did it and now it's in my shop waiting for a loving owner... Finally a space in my head for one more new idea!

Now for some excitement... I upgraded to a 12MP camera on the weekend. I have been wanting a camera with more Megapixels so that I will have good enough images to publish my own patterns or books. I have been playing with it a lot to try to get my photos to look as good as my six year old 3MP camera.
